Sisters and co-owners Julie Ryan and Kristin Heneghan bring over 30 years of combined expertise and a shared passion for creating stunning, functional spaces. Julie’s extensive background in tile, glass, and stone spans residential and commercial projects across the country, from iconic urban developments to serene coastal retreats. Kristin’s talent for design and color, coupled with her deep understanding of client needs, has shaped her ability to deliver everything from cozy island getaways to sleek urban lofts.
Together, the Classic Tile & Stone duo brings a dynamic, energetic, and passionate desire to craft beautiful, functional spaces that reflect each client’s unique vision.
Julie Ryan
Co-Owner & Designer
Julie, co-owner and designer at Classic Tile & Stone,brings over 30 years of expertise in tile, glass, and stone to her clients. Her impressive portfolio spans residential renovations, commercial developments, and new construction projects across the country. Notable projects include the World Trade Center/Convention Center subway station, common areas at Seaside in Destin, FL, health spas in Washington, D.C., and outdoor entertainment venues in South Beach, FL. With her deep experience and passion for design, Julie excels at crafting unique, functional spaces that reflect each client’s vision and style.
Kristin Heneghan
Co-Owner & Designer
Kristin, co-owner and designer at Classic Tile & Stone, made a career shift in 1992 after several years in the public sector. She began working alongside her sister at the Boston Design Center in business operations, but her natural talent for design and color quickly led her to focus on creative work. Kristin has since collaborated with homeowners, designers, architects, and builders on a variety of projects, ranging from charming seaside retreats and island getaways to ski chalets and modern urban lofts.
Her keen attention to clients’ needs, coupled with her extensive product knowledge and meticulous attention to detail, ensures that every project reflects her clients’ vision. Whether working on a simple renovation or a comprehensive home transformation, Kristin brings enthusiasm and passion to each design.
